another cult record of my youth, love it till today

Wovenhand (singer of 16 Horsepower)

I caught a few of these tours in Midwest US. My biggest regret is missing Zappa.

another Blues hero, was an amazing concert

My first ever gig - extremely memorable. Peter Gabriel supporting (at the time of his second solo album) Baking hot day, and the Stranglers even had strippers! My 15 year old self was never the same…

Ha ha I saw the Stranglers the summer before lock down (sadly again no strippers) at an open air event, and they were still great.
I think most of the crowd are old enough that we all saw them at the late 70s and early 80s as well.

I really like Luther Allison a lot - I got to see him a few times…agree - he was so good live - another guy was Son Seals - those two were my favorite blues guys during that time - one of my favorite live records of anyone is:

I had a vinyl copy for years, and have been hoping it would be released digitally at some point… if you ever see it, grab it!

…and a few more – I really like the Meat Puppets- there was newer Seattle Band opening for them that night… The Central Tavern is a great venue… its pretty much just that …a tavern with a stage -

I feel fortunate to have seen Nina Hagen - she is pretty great!

Another two from the archives. Truth be told neither band was that great live, but you still felt like you were part of history, it was all about the event.

this was very special too for me.

Nikki Sudden played for free in a Dresden Bar in the 90s, just with acoustic guitar.
He was a real rock´n roller and died too young (as they do often)

the concert was very good and after it, i sat with Nikki at a table in the bar (cause he liked the girl, i had with me  )
we talked an hour or two and Nikki spent us a good glas of whiskey
a night to remember, as much of my Dresden times in the 90s

You saw Stevie just before we lost him in 1990, I never got to see him.

I once got a job because of this band. I wanted one of their albums and to drive the store owner nuts. He thinks the Sex Pistols are the only group with any musical talent. Still. I lived in the middle of nowhere but it had a killer record store. I looked up all the information, ISBN, label, vendors name and when the label rep would be in the store. I handed them my order directly. I have music issues.
Fast forward 5 years. I’ve been driving this owner nuts for years asking for odd stuff. Now they have a job opening. He hired me on the spot. I worked every shift he did not. for 2 years I did not see him again. He still groans every time I enter the store. Last time I visited at least. I keep asking when he’s going to retire and let someone with real musical tastes run the thing. 30 years now.
