Showing (off) your Motorcycles

Apparently not… I can live with that.

I suspect, given free reign, nothing (outside of MQA) will invoke more controversy than trikes.

Peace.

What sort of rides/trips do you take? It is very cool. I once bought my wife a Sportster. We customized it over several weeks. Tried to teach her to ride (have photos and videos). She repeatedly dumped the bike. Despite her tearfulness, I sold the bike. Motorcycles take a skill that not all can achieve. Where I live, it is much too dangerous to be on the road without excellent defensive ability. It is a great memory that ended well, and the kids love the videos. Personally, I do not plan to ever own a bike again. They are great memories but are best relegated to memories.

Personally, I think it looks quite cool!

Hope you and your wife have fun. I’m sure you will!

I’ve just sold my last bike (and I’m pretty sure it will be my last), but I certainly enjoyed my bikes when I had them. Just at an age nowadays (and live in a climate) where I prefer the comfort of a nice warm car for long journeys. Recently, my bike was only being used to take me to and from my gym - a dreadful waste!

Just to add a bit of balance I think these are gorgeous.

it’s a tad disingenuous to insult a man’s ride, and say ‘i thought you had taste’… and then say ‘Peace’. i mean… really? practice what you preach and we may have a chance at a friendlier world.

It was purchased mostly from my acknowledgement of growing arthritis problems and ever increasing age.
And as soon as we looked at one in the shop and the wife sat in the “armchair” she just gave a big thumbs up which is about as large a display of enthusiasm as she ever shows.

We have some car toys , BMW, Porsche, Corvette convertible etc so really did not need/want another 4 wheel toy.
2 wheel was first thoughts but common sense said the Spyder would best fit the bill.
Make no mistake, it is a fair weather toy pure and simple, we could afford it so why not we thought.

Trips to Georgia islands, Tennessee, Carolinas are what we have in mind right now being North Florida based.

Oh boy. I am chastened.

It’s not ‘his ride’. It’s just something he bought, so spare me the funky outrage.

It is always inspiring to see someone having active enjoyment. Those sound like great journeys and great locales. North Carolina should be fun, Blue Ridge in Georgia, and there are many cruising locales in Tennessee. Envy your taking this on, and it is a great piece of equipment. I also envy your having a Porsche. I shall live vicariously through your journeys. Sorry to hear that you are growing older; not certain what would cause that, and perhaps it will pass.

My sincere apologies to the op for posting a vehicle that does not fit the thread description (again!)
I had no idea it would cause such a flap!
Going out for a ride now…

It was a three wheeled motorcycle as far as I was concerned, so I have no problem with the post.
Yamaha make a three wheeler after all.:+1:

Funny you should say that, we looked at the Nexen which intrigued me immensely from an engineering viewpoint.
However we decided it did not have the “armchair” comfort level she had found after sitting in the Spyder RT.

I think all would agree that the 2 wheel experience is radically different to 4 wheels, regardless of the enclosure you sit in. How does the 3 wheel experience differ from 4? I have zero experience with 3, rear or front heavy.

Very nice, I did look at both the MT-07 and MT-09.
However we went with the true armchair ride…lol
