Really daft question but how do you get Roon app into portrait mode?! Mine has never allowed that 
One of the big iPad Pro screen extras, not sure what size it kicks in.

Tim I have the 11" iPad Pro and it only does landscape as well.

It has always been available on 12.9 screens. Not sure about other sizes, though definitely not on mini.

Just set up my Nuc tonight. I was having some stability issues with my laptop acting as a Core the last few weeks.
Current Setup
Nuc 8i5BEH with a 256gb Western Digital ssd, 4gb of crucial ram and 3tb external HDD connected
Raspberry Pi4 running Ropiee XL with hifi berry digi + pro
Cambridge Audio CXA 80
Monitor Audio Silver 100 speakers
Not part of the Roon setup

It’s only the iPad Pro 12.9, it’s a pixel count limitation
It’s a long standing feature request. There was a strong hint that landscape/portrait is coming in 1.8 but don’t hold your breath
Roon’s release policy asphyxiated the breath holders months back. I just checked and this bit of kit is still working fine

It’s been quite the journey. Apple Music during the day. Roon in the evenings. I guess I’m down to the bare essentials now.
Feels good. Sounds good. More music. Less noise.

Interesting…may I ask how the Ortho remotes work in your system and what you can/can’t do with them? For example, can you use them to control Roon playing on any of the endpoints, or perhaps just those using Airplay?
The ortho’s are connected by bluetooth as a HID device – they control the local device they’ve been paired to. In this case, it’s an iPhone masquerading as Roon zone.
