Did you try just the Nucleus alone to feed the LS50‘s internal DAC? That would be even more minimalistic.

My very last job in England was about 15 miles from Keswick and I had the misfortune of suffering for about 4 months in a b&b in downtown Keswick itself, it was a hardship… 
At one stage I had my car, my motorcycle and my bicycle all in the back yard of this b&b!

I bet. I love Keswick, it’s a great town.
I first visited there when I was about 18 and always wanted to move to the lakes. Finally got the chance at 52!
We have the wasdale and Eskdale Valleys to play in. Great gable, scafell etc just a walk away, or a bivi if the weathers nice.
Motorbike is on charge after being in storage for 6 months. Hardknot pass beckons.

I first went up in a rear wheel drive escort van. I discovered rear wheel drive isn’t good when only one wheel is on the floor on the sharp bends uphill!
