Showing (off) your Roon setup - description and photos [2023]

Can you share the brand of the shelves the components are on? I’m in desperate need of a new component rack since I picked up a HiFI Rose last week and would love one like that, that is 2 components wide since I have a top-loading CD player along with a turntable.
That one also looks taller than most I’ve seen. Most I’ve looked at are around 2.5 feet tall and my current rack (2nd component per shelf) is 34 inches high which is a perfect height to change LPs or CDs.
thanks

Well spotted, @GoGo_Delicious. It is William Morris. Blackthorn in the lounge room and strawberry thief in the bedroom. :grinning::+1:

I knew it! NICE design choices. “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be beautiful or believe to be useful.” Words that I actually live by.

Me and my wife are in London this weekend. We will be based in Hammersmith, just a short walk from the William Morris Society. The museum is free and is very interesting

Well since I’m not going on holiday this year. And my vacation has just started. I’ve decided to complete my Cambridge set.

Expected delivery date is 18 or 19 July.

The Octavio AMP will move to my office.

Since it is from the same series as my CXNv2 and CXCv2 they all share a similar look and can all be operated through a single remote control.

Of course I will have 3 of those remotes by then…

That will be one sweet setup. Funny how it all started with a defective unit if I remember correctly.

Yeah the Marantz. I’ve had it repaired but the same issue has returned.

At the moment I am using it in my office. It has an audio out so I heve it connected to a set of active monitor speakers. Here the random volume changing isn’t an issue.

Loxjie D30 connected to my laptop → Marantz M-CR612 → PreSonus Eris E4.5 BT speakers is the current setup in the office. Roon + Qobuz through the Loxjie. Deezer through the Marantz’s HEOS app.

The Octavio AMP’s Virtuose app supports both Qobuz and Deezer. So that’s good. Roon can, just like with the Marantz, only access it through AirPlay.

Nice! I bought myself an Arcam SA 30 this week on advice on this forum. Installed it and men what a sound!! Hope you’re going to enjoy the new “toy” as much as I do…

That’s a lot of speakers :open_mouth: and must be a lot of fun. Are there neighbors?

I live in an apartment - never any issues with neighbors (I keep it to max 80dB, with a few exceptions).

I am impressed by the self control

I actually only use 801D4 + subs for stereo music. Don’t like the upmixing (only time I use dolby surround upmix is when I watch TV with stereo.

I have played around a bit with Auro3D upmix (Auromatic), but not for me.
I do have a lot of 5.1 and 7.1 music. And of course, we have Atmos and DTS:X.
