I’ll leave out the TL;DR back story, but this is a temporary system due to selling several of my main components, and it wasn’t planned this way.

FiiO SR11 > S.M.S.L. SU-1 > WiiM Vibelink Amp > Wharfedale Evo 4.1 speakers + Rel TZero MK3 sub.

Nothing fancy but is certainly giving a good performance on the sound:pound (£) ratio.

Total system cost, inc cables, stands £1600. A tiny amount considering some of the fantastic systems posted on here. Enjoyment, priceless.

I do plan to do something with the cables.

Very disappointed in you.

The rug isn’t centred to the room. I won’t mention the placement of the TT.

My amp is bigger than yours

Just before Christmas I got to visit a friend who was doing the sound for Madness’s gig at the 20,000 capacity O2 Arena in London and see them setup the PA and do the sound check.

I took a quick (poor quality) shot of some of the power amp racks.

My understand is that each of these units provides 4 channels at 2 kW. As you can see there are many of them (and there may be the same on the other side of the stage)

The sound desk and a shot from the gig

The PA hangs, subs and amps are all d&b audiotechnick.

My understanding is they they are a complete system with the amps including the dsp needed to control the line array behavior.

I’ve now exhausted my experience!

The mixing desk is DigiCo

If you’re interested DigiCo made a video about the setup at the same venue a year ago

Not quite: there aren’t any feet in the picture, as is often the case with pictures taken from the listening position.
