I use just one Roon remote and one server, and am finding that it is different from day to day. Today things seem to be working well, though not so much a day or two ago. Yes hopefully they will fix things. I guess lets wait and see. Thank you.
Exactly what I have experienced. Main features appearing to cause problems 10 days ago - such as delayed cloud search, focus filters in albums, composition list, immediate start of a stream - appear to be faster than ever on my system today. Funnily with less consumption of RAM and CPU power.
On the other hand, playback via remote devices, Airplay or Bluetooth is still an issue with interrupted streams and gaps between tracks. Sometimes such devices even disappear from roon“s list. Roon ready devices seem not to be affected.
My experience is exactly the opposite: Roon ready devices disappear, device connected via Airplay stays visible⦠There are strange and annoying things going onā¦
I use a Nucleus Plus (connected to a NAS) with Roon Remote on an IPad and Windows PC. Pretty much all the above issues are affecting me since build 1353, particularly when I search and playback and connection to the core (sorry, server) stop and then resume after a while. Rebooting the server can help, but then sluggish behaviour and interruptions start again.
Hopefully there will be a fix soon that will address whatever is causing these issues.
Has anyone with slowness issues found a solution?
I have shutdown and rebooted so many times lately that I have lost count. Every function is slow on Android and Windows 11.
I have taken no steps and heard of no solution other than the shutdown and reboot. Actually I havenāt rebooted in a while. And I think there is some improvement though it is hard to be sure.
Did you perform the update? Because this was supposed to fix at least some of the issues some people are experiencing.
The recent update didnāt do anything to better the very poor performance I experience of Roon since build 1353. To have an alternative Iāve setup Minimserver on my NAS to play locally stored files thorugh my streamer. And for Qobuz I can fall back to the streamerās app. But itās a far cry from the integrated and data-rich experience Roon can - and did - offer.
Thanks yes I do have the latest version 1357 from 8d ago. I realize now that this may explain the fact that I have been less concerned in the last few days.
Sure, apparently the update didnāt fix it for everyone (and the root cause may not be the same for everyone), so separating out the remaining cases is useful in itself.
The update did help some/many people, though, so I just referred to @Hasan_Latif saying āI have taken no steps and heard of no solution other than the shutdown and rebootā, to be sure that they tried at least the update, which may help (or not)
