Have you tried restarting the Roon server? There’s usually no need to restart the machine itself, just the Roon server software. I was experiencing slowdowns on my Ubuntu server version of Roon. I now have a scheduled restart of the Roon server every night and it’s helped.
The easiest way is to just reboot the computer. If you can’t do that, then it depends on the computer you’re running (Windows, Mac, Linux). I’m only familiar with Mac and Linux myself; however I run my Roon server only on Linux.
Hi. I don’t run it through a computer. I access Roon via Inuous. Appreciate the help. Unfortunately this is why I wanted support to hand hold me and give me the idiot’s guide.
Hi @Richard_Pratt,
Thank you for your patience while we worked through the queue. You can restart your Innuos server by pressing the power button on the front twice waiting a few seconds between button presses. If you are having trouble locating the button send a picture of the server and we will be able to point it out to you.
Sorry not sure if your response is deliberately patronising. Well I have done as you suggested. I found the power button. And for 2 mins I have been watching the Roon icon flicker on the centre of my screen.
Hi @Richard_Pratt,
My response was not meant to be condescending. The Roon user base varies greatly in technical acumen. So I cannot assume too much knowledge from any user. From your previous comments, it looked like you needed help restarting your server so I gave you instructions on doing so. If my tone came across as insulting that was not at all intentional.
For your current problem of being stuck on the Roon logo if you provide the date and local time this happened I will activate diagnostics on your account to investigate this further.
