Slow Response, Search Issues Build 1353

Also to be noted that scrolling too fast through albums, will crash the core. This has been going on since November.

Thank you :pray:t3:

Hi @Michael_Lockwood,

Thanks for the update! Our development team is working on a solution to which you can test yourself if interested - this would involve moving your server and remote builds from production to early access - please follow these steps.

In addition to this, I also reviewed a fresh diagnostic report from your Nucleus and saw a handful of out-of-memory errors from the system logging. With a library of ~99k tracks running on ~4GB of RAM you very well could be hitting the ceiling of proper performance, leading to additional crashes.

Increasing the RAM in your Nucleus may be helpful, here’s more info on chip specs:

Thank You for all this I ordered the memory! I tried to sign up for early access but I was unable to upload the os for the Nucleus. I use a Mac to access it and the file was not supported by the Mac OS even to unstuff it. Also the links for test flight would not work either. All good. Is there a benefit to early access desktop software? I was able to download that. M

Hi @Michael_Lockwood,

You should be able to use a Mac no problem - you also don’t need to modify the name, extension, or content of this file. All you need to do is copy + paste the file into your the /Data/Reinstall directory on your Nucleus.

Make sure Roon Server isn’t running during this process though!

There isn’t any benefit, no, it allows Roon users to test the latest Roon and ARC features and fixes before they are released to the entire user community.

Can you verify how much ram I have installed? I added 8 gb to the existing 4. Should be 12. I see no way for me to see. It is working and does not crash when scrolling.

Thank you!

Hi @Michael_Lockwood,

If you access the webUI of your Nuclues, it should show you the proper RAM amounts, are you able to share a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

Here are 2 screen shots.
Thank you for the quick reply.

Hey @Michael_Lockwood - my apologies here, RAM is never displayed on the webUI.

I can confirm that the RAM on your Nucleus is showing - 11.58 GiB on our end, so you should be all set. :+1:
