Just to get sure, Arc is not able to download to an inserted SD card…? To me it would be totally crucial that you can even force Arc to use a specific memory (internal or external).
I understand that Arc has this download function getting files from the roon server. And it somehow allows to reduce bitrate for saved files. Is there a specific codec used by roon for the final lossy files on the mobile device?

I’d love to be corrected on this but it looks like Arc won’t utilize the SD card, regardless of whether it’s formatted as portable or adopted storage. Reducing the download quality can help you get more mileage from your device’s internal storage - I assume the protocol is the same as what’s used for lower bandwidth streaming
