Well exactly, and I remember switching from Roon to bubbleupnp a few times myself with no ill effects.

Ever tried and clicked on “Select a different Core” (should show a list of available/detected Cores)?
@BlackJack has an excellent point.
Even though technically it’s still the same physical Core, to Roon it will not be.
Give that a shot.

Sorry to disappear on you guys, but I got locked out of the thread last night because I’m new and had exceeded my daily allotment of posts!
At any rate, @BlackJack got it right! Thanks so much. The language in that dialogue is misleading; perhaps it should read “select a Core” rather than “select a different Core”. That threw me off. Thanks again to all of you!
