Other Sonos players play just fine. All other players play just fine. The system is in good shape and has been stable for many years.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled play:5 on Sonos and it did not help.
Looks like there is a specific Play:5 problem.
Just turned on my play:5 first gen - it works fine with Sonos streaming… that rules out a generic play:5 issue…
Eureka! After resetting play:5 in Sonos I forgot to relaunch Roon core. Now I relaunched it and Sonos streaming is back on play:5!
