Sonos speakers grouping status not in sync in Roon

So I’ll ungroup 2 Sonos speakers in the Roon app and then choose some music on an individual Sonos speaker, and the music is still playing on the speaker I ungrouped.

Playing the same files direct via the Sonos app there’s no problems so it’s not a network issue I don’t think. I’m able to group/ungroup no problem and there’s no cut outs or anything, its solid.

EDIT: for more context, I’m able to get a cast group of sonos devices going, it’s just over time if I skip tracks, remove a speaker, that’s when things just fall apart and devices between the sonos app and Roon get out of sync in terms of their status

Any ideas?

When you look at the Sonos app what does it show when you group and ungroup via ROON?

Shows the 2 devices still grouped

So that’s an issue somewhere with your setup

How is your core and your Roon controller connected to the network ? Ethernet or Wi-Fi?

Is it always the case or intermittent?

Have you you tried any actions such as powecycling your Roon core or the Sonos speakers?

Roon Server on an Unraid NAS Docker container connected via ethernet.

It’s intermittent and I’ve tried power cycling

Thanks for sharing.

It’s a shame it’s still an issue.

For once I feel good about HEOS.
