Sound comes out of speaker on iPad remote rather than core output

I have a MacBook Pro as my core. I use the digital output from the MacBook to feed a signal to my amp. I use an iPad mini as my remote. For weeks all was well. However, today when I attempted to play music, my system suddenly had decided to default to the speaker on my iPad rather than the output of my MacBook. How do I reset my system so that It will play from the output of the core.

Sounds like you have the wrong audio zone selected

Hello @Clark_Varnell,

I just wanted to check in with you here and ask if your setup is now working as expected. As @wizardofoz mentioned, it is likely that you have a different zone selected. You can change zones using these instructions and you can use these instructions for a guide on how to enable other zones in case the desired one is not enabled in the Audio Settings. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Noris
