Hey @KeizerSauze,
I am afraid I don’t have visibility over the queue status of our technical team, but I have pinged them here. Hey @support, when you get a chance we could really use your help

Hi @KeizerSauze,
I’m terribly sorry for the long delay in getting to your issue! I’ve just caught up on the thread and see :
What is your current status on the above? I see that you have your Macmini set as your Roon Server, but also as your Roon remote device - hence the need for the screen share setup I believe?
There is an easier setup that may also rid you of the crackling sound you experience. Download Roon on your Macbook Pro, and set it up as a Roon Remote device, you can download it here:
https://roon.app/en/downloads#:~:text=a%20larger%20Roon-,system.,-Roon
Once you download Roon, open it will then ask you if you’d like to use your existing Mac mini as your Roon Server - connect to your Mini, log into your Roon account, and you won’t need to screen share anymore. You can simply use Roon on the MBP as your navigation and control tool
Let me know if this makes sense!
No worries & thanks for your help
What I understand is that I can have Roon Server on my Mac Mini & Roon “player” on my MacBook Pro or iPad Pro. Is this correct?
What is, well was confusing for me is that when I downloaded and installed Roon on my Mac Mini it’s one & the same program…
I’m going to test Roon Server on my Mac Mini & the player on my iPad Pro when I get back on Monday.
Best
KS
Is this correct?
Yes it is.
it’s one & the same program…
It is one downliad that installs two programs. Install Roon on the pc to be a server first. Get it setup. Then install roon on the client, during installation tell it to connect to an existing server.
