SSD in Nucleus + as a NAS

Hi- Is there anyway to have SSD internal storage in a Nucleus + discoverable like a NAS?

A Nucleus or Nucleus+ have Network Shares by default - the SSD Internal Storage is accessible over the network. See the Help article:

While you can put anything on the Nucleus shared drive I guess, the core will obviously try to scan it. It is essentially a NAS at least in capability, but perhaps not in Function as its speed maybe not desirable depending on your use case.

Hi @mark_barry1,

As mentioned in the article that Geoff shared, you can access the Internal Storage drive by using these paths:

  1. From a Windows PC
    • \NUCLEUS\Data\Storage\InternalStorage
  2. From a Mac
    • smb://NUCLEUS/Data/Storage/InternalStorage

Be sure to replace NUCLEUS with NUCLEUSPLUS if you have a Nucleus+ If asked for a username and password, use Guest for both.

Note that Roon will try to scan anything you place in the Internal Storage folder, and the Nucleus isn’t optimized to act as a NAS. That said, you should be able to access the files as needed by using those paths.

Got it. Thanks All!
