Description Of Issue
If I play a non-MQA song immediatly following an MQA one there is a brief moment of static. Eg. Play the Cars “It’s not the night” MQA followed by Ryan Farish "“Joy” non-MQA - there will be a brief bit of static at the very beginning of Joy (less than a 1/2 second).
I’m using the “Smooth Mimimum phase” filter when upsampling to “max pcm rate power of 2” (either 352.8kHz or 384kHz)

Hi @Lee_Bruce,

Does the same behavior occur if you’re playing to a different endpoint?

If you disable DSP for this Zone does the static also occur then?

I do not have a different endpoint to check against.

With DSP disabled I get the following behavior:

  1. MQA followed by non-mqa - the first second of non-mqa (44/16) song is lost.
  2. 96/24 folllowed by 44/16 also looses the first second of the 44/16 song.

With DSP enabled (upsampling max power of 2) the following behavior occurs:

  1. MQA followed by non-mqa - there is a brief moment of static.
  2. 96/24 followed by 44/16 - both files play without error.

Hi @Lee_Bruce,

Thanks for the info.

Can you give this a try with System Output of a remote device? Do you experience the same behavior with that configuration?

Rolled back the driver for my vega dac and appears to be operating properly for now. Will report of I re-encounter the issue.
ThankYou
