Streaming from MacBook Pro to Marantz NA6006: Asking for a Code

I’m streaming via airplay from my MacBook Pro to a Marantz NA 6006. Roon states that I need to enter a 4-digit code. I’ve never had to enter a 4-digit code to stream to this device from any of my other Apple devices. Is there a way to bypass the code?

Airplay Code triggered on MacBook Pro

I am trying to set up a MacBook Pro as an audio device to link with my Roon Core. I am using the Roon App on my iPhone, and the MacBook Pro appears on the list and I have set it to enabled. However, if I try to play to the MacBook Pro the lap top shows a 4 digit airplay code - and I cannot see where the code should be entered? So the play command does not then initiate playing the track!! I have seen lots of posts about this occurring with Apple TV - and how to solve it there - but none about…

Different situation. I’m trying to stream from my MacBook Pro to the Marantz NA6006.
When I try to connect via Roon to the devices, Roon thinks there is a code that needs to be entered to pair. This is not the case when I connect via airplay from Apple Music or iPhone/iPad.

Fixed.

I have an Apple TV device that I stream to in another room. I had to set a password on the AppleTV in order to stream from my MacBook. THAT is the password I had to enter in order to stream to the NA6006. Bloody wierd but happy it works now.
