Description of Issue

I bought the Mutec MC3+USB. I installed it. The Mutec works fine. I can use it via AES/EBU or optical. However, as soon as I switch on the Melco N100, the tablet version of the app goes crazy. It refreshes every second, which makes it unusable.

How do I know that it is the tablet app? I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 5e, two Android smartphones, and one Windows 10 PC. The apps on the smartphones and on the PC work fine, but the apps on both tablets go crazy.

If I turn of the Melco N100, both apps start to behave normal again. But the problem started to appear only after I installed the Mutec.

I think it is the device detection mechanism. For some reason, it seams to work differently between the platforms (tablet, smartphone, PC).

I am not sure if this is related, but if I go to the device config, the Mutec is “unidentified”. I can identify it manually, but then the sound goes off (i.e., the Melco is still playing music, but I can’t hear anything). To fix this, I have to turn off the Melco via its power button.

I had to shut down the Lyngdorf MP-40 to test another issue, but this actually fixed this issue. I can’t say if Roon was the problem or the MP-40, but it works now.
