Tags not "sticking"

I tagged a few albums with the tab “master”
I then went to My Library/Albums and selected the tag “master”
None of the albums I tagged showed up.

any idea why? I am relatively new to roon, so please bear with a newbee

thanks

Give this a try and let me know if it works for you.

  1. Go to an album, click on the green +tag icon to bring up the Add/Create Tag screen
    addtag

Brings up the Add/Create Tag Screen

  1. Click on the New Tag as shown circled above. This will bring up the Create box

tagcreate

Type in TEST as the name and then click the Create Button. This should bring you back to the Add/Create Tag Screen as shown below:

The pic above shows the created Tag “TEST” with the check mark. But to actually now ADD it to the album you have to click the Save button.

Yes, that works. Thanks!

I now see how to find a Tidal Master in Roon and with 2 keystrokes add
it to my library and mark it with the tag “master” without leaving the page.

It would be nice if I could somehow mark more than one tidal “genre”
(classical in my case) master at a time and add them ALL to my library
and tag them “master” at once.

Is that possible?

regards

In album view you can select more than one album at a time, then click the three dot menu and choose Add to Tag and it will apply the Tag to all the selected albums.

How do I select each album? also, can I do this in the “tidal” album view or just the “my library” album view?

Right click to select multiple albums works for all sorts of tasks. Right click and select 3 albums and then click Shuffle or Play Now. Yes the selection works on the Tidal Screen. However, you cannot add a Tag to a Tidal Album if it is not part of your library.

Hi @Jolly_Wykoff,

You’ll find the Roon User Guide a useful resource for reducing the learning curve. And this forum, of course.
