Set up the newly built in Tailscale on my Nucleus One. I connect from another machine off my home network perfectly but I don’t see any local audio PC audio devices to enable and listen to music here at work.
Tailscale is included in Roon OS 2.0, so you may use Roon ARC without port forwarding. When using Roon, the Nucleus and all endpoints need to be on the same subnet.
Are you using ARC or trying to use the regular remote when at work?
Hi @Will_Butler ,
Can you share a screenshot of the view you see when the issue occurs? If you turn off Tailscale on the PC, do your local device then appear?
Regular remote. ARC works great on my phone but wanted to listen on my PC.
I left work but can VPN RDP (corporate vpn not tailscale so that won’t mess things up) in later and try this.
But the Tailscale solution is only for ARC. It doesn’t work with the regular remote - as you found, device discovery fails.
Hi @Will_Butler,
Tailscale only functions with Roon ARC - does not support Roon itself, either for remote playback or remote device discovery/control due to inherent limitations with multicast and other network processes in a proxy mesh setup.
