Herbie in his prime with Ron Carter and Tony Williams. Jazz piano trios don’t get much better than this incredible recording. There’s a reason why Hancock is considered one of the greatest piano players in the history of jazz and listening to this recording clearly shows why. Available in high resolution on both Tidal and Qobuz.

@Grump I don’t know if you are aware of it but there are other record labels besides ECM that issue piano trio recordings and some of them even manage to be pretty good, well maybe not as good those on ECM, but at least listenable!
