Description of Issue

I have a Tidal playlist saved on my Roon remote, but when I try to run it, the shuffle play drop-down menu and play menu are disabled, and I can’t use them.
This issue has happened twice now, and I’m currently using the latest version of Roon server and Roon remote.
The first time it happened, I tried deleting and reinstalling Roon server and Roon remote on my device, as well as other remote devices, but that didn’t solve the problem.
However, one day it suddenly started working again without me doing anything.
Yesterday, the problem happened again, and I think it might have something to do with the Roon remote or Roon server update.
I was listening to music when the Roon remote update notice popped up, so I updated it, and the problem immediately reappeared.
I’d appreciate it if you could look into this issue and find a solution.
Thank you.

Did anything change since then?

As I said in the post above, I haven’t done anything since the first issue happened, it just suddenly disappeared. My guess is that an update was done without my knowledge. However, when the second issue occurred, I witnessed it before and after the app update myself, so I think it was definitely an app update issue

Hi @David_Sakong,

Just to confirm, every track in this playlist is from Tidal?

The next time this occurs, do you have any issues with playback of any content on the Tidal page, like Albums?

What about the Zone you have selected - are there any changes to the availability of the Zone, or any changes to what’s shown in Signal Path?

hi.
As per your advice, Tidal albums are fine and only my playlists are showing this issue.
Is the Zone you are referring to Audio? If so, this problem hasn’t changed, it’s only appeared before and after the app update. I still haven’t solved this problem, please let me know if there is anything I can do. Thanks.

I’ve checked further and the issue is only happening with Playlists in my stuff. I don’t see this issue when I play the original albums of individual songs in the playlists that are showing the issue. It’s only happening with my playlists.

I took a hint from your advice and eventually solved the problem.
In conclusion, the issue seems to be a logging issue with the Tidal account.
To clarify, I’ve just confirmed that this only happens with playlists I’ve created in the past, and that playlists created at this point in time can shuffle play normally. I’ve also confirmed that the playlists I’ve just created will also not shuffle play if I log out of my Tidal account in Roon and log back in. I’m actually using the same Tidal account, but I can’t figure out why this is happening. I ended up re-registering all of my playlists and deleting all of my old playlists, and now it’s working fine.

Oh no…
I just updated Roon remote and the above happened again. The symptoms are exactly the same as I described before.
Do I have to have this problem every time I update Roon remote?
I hope the Roon service team can provide a cause and solution to this problem.

Wow this is such a ridiculous and absurd situation.
I have just confirmed that simply renaming my playlist solves this problem.
What’s even funnier is that after rebooting the Roon server, the same problem occurs again with the playlist that was fixed by renaming the playlist, and if I don’t rename the playlist, the problem persists.
I hope the Roon service team can refer to the video I attached and let me know the proper solution to this.
