I have the same problem with the now playing bar. The play/pause is greyed out (unusable) and it shows the last track or one that was played a long time ago and is frozen. The track time/wavelength bar doesn’t work either. I’ve tried to reinstall, etc. The only way to stop it from playing is to get on my computer and pause/stop it (computer on the other side of the house).

Make sure to describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so we can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.
Does this happen on all remotes at the same time?
Can you share a screenshot of this the next time it happens, and let us know what track is playing during that time as well as what time it is in your local timezone? We’ll enable diagnostics and take a look at that instance.
I went back and used my iPad yesterday (after about a week or so of not using Roon at all) and it seems to be working correctly now. If I have the issue again, I’ll be in touch.
