Why would anyone in their right mind release a whole load of new features at the time when many of the support staff are likely to be on holiday ?

With the best will in the world any release, however well tested, will hit some snags given the vast array of kit that 100,000+ users can throw at it.

The obsession with a Xmas Present overrides everything, I suppose it’s when people get the most free time to enjoy the hobby :flushed:

I spent many years as a support manager for the production systems of a major corporate, at any mission critical times of the year we applied a hard change freeze, so as to maintain stability

Who would be first to whine when things broke ?

They tried it once and it didn’t go well so I won’t expect a sizable update until next year now.

Its done when its done as the saying goes…just enjoy the holidays with what you have…plenty to look forward to when it drops whenever that will be I’m sure.
