Anyone remember these Half Speed Mastered releases from Columbia circa 1980. This Boz Scaggs release does sound quite wonderful, right up there with those Steely Dan records

Have heard a few of these. Seem to work well, but i’m still not convinced that this method is “better” in all aspects than the traditional speed sensing electromagnetical transducers.
And, they seem to introduce lots mote static electricity?
