Tidal has been solid for me over the past few days, even at the previously problematic 5pm - 6pm time. I think my issues are resolved. Whether by pointing the Core Internet Connection to the Google DNS server as above, or by other action by Tidal or it’s affiliates or even by my ISP I cannot say. Without feedback from those parties it’s not possible to know exactly what the problem was and how it was fixed.
Rock solid for the past few days, not one hiccup. I could not listen for longer than 5 minutes previously without dramatic disruptions, I didn’t change any DNS settings at all so I guess whatever it was has been cleared up wither by Akamai, ISPs or Tidal.
Hi there, I’m in Hong Kong. I tried the free trial of Roon and loved it, but towards the end of my trial I also started experiencing the Tidal catastrophic break-up. The guys at Roon were very responsive to my feedback and have generously extended my trial for a further two weeks. They seemed confident that the problem was fixed per the latest comments above. Unfortunately it’s still unlistenable here as of 5th November, mid-day. I’ll keep trying though, as it seems that they know what’s wrong and hopefully Hong Kong will be fixed soon as well.
Sorry to hear that, it’s been solid here in Australia as set out above. Have you tried pointing the internet connection on the Core to the Google Public DNS server as set out above ? That may be worth a shot.
I have not tried that yet. I am loathe to fiddle with network settings to be honest, I am no engineer! It seems more stable at the moment, so I’ll keep testing for now.
I’ve major problems in the Netherlands with Tidal. All my existing albums still works but can’t ad new albums and can’t search in the Tidal network anymore. Thats for about 4 days now and getting a bit tired. First the problem that you still can’t use an iPhone as endpoint now this. We all pay enough but the search in the community is so scrambled that I even don’t know where to search anymore. Sorry for my frustration but I want just to listen to music and want to pay for it and still…
Pal Bratelund is no longer with Tidal. This link is to Tidal Support in the US, there may be a different one for the Netherlands. I hope the issue can be fixed quickly for you.
No problems with Tidal over here in the Netherlands. Your symptoms are more likely caused by a confused Roon core than by a Tidal issue. Have you tried rebooting your Roon core (server) system?
Thanks for your reply but rebooting the Roon Server did the job. Thanks to RBM who gave me the tip. It’s all working again. Tidal but still waiting for iPhone as endpoint but that’s a walking issue somewhere else in the community.
