Tidal music fails to play in Roon while local library works (ref#IJPO4P)

· I tried playing Tidal streaming songs using Rune on April 13th and April 12th, 2025, but both attempts failed.

What are the make and model of the affected audio device(s) and the connection type?

· I'm using JAVS x5, Marantz PM6006, and Focal K2 906, Wired connection

Describe the issue

When I play Tidal music in Rune, all playback fails. However, the music in my local library plays normally.
Songs from the Tidal app also play normally in other smartphone apps, but they do not play in Rune.

Describe your network setup

I have Rune Arc installed on the same Ethernet and am controlling it from my PC to play music.

I have the exact same situation but with Qobuz. Also wired setup and local files playing just fine. Qobuz playing just fing from Qobuz app.
Did a full reinstall of Roon today but no improvement.
All worked normal until today.

I did some additional analysis this morning and found that unchecking the meta data retrieval for genre from Roon for albums improved the performance notably. Must add that I firstly disabled Qobuz, cleaned up my library (purging all qobuz entries) and then activated the Qobuz service again to import my Qobuz favorites.

Thanks for your message and welcome to the forum! I activated diagnostics for your account and what this does is upload a log set for review. I can see that some TIDAL content is working, while other content is not, it appears the .mp3 content is failing while FLAC works as expected. If you navigate to Roon Settings → Services → TIDAL, can you please ensure you have Streaming Quality set to Maximum? Thanks!

The 2.49 update today seems to have solved all performance issues. Roon is now responsive and playback for Qobuz tracks starts immediately. Suggest you update immediately if not done so yet.
