Roon Arc has all kinds of issues with 5g for me, ever since i upgraded to a full 5g phone(tried 2 different ones), I can’t get Roon Arc to play when its not on Wifi, it worked fine with my LG V60 which is a MMW only 5g phone. I opened tickets and got basically no help other than basic troubleshooting. Wifi always works well. I ended up just running a vpn tunnel from my server and only having the vpn run to Roon Arc and that solved the issue for me. I’ll definitely open a ticket for this though, I can’t believe this has been a feature all along.
Hello everyone,
We wanted to provide a quick update regarding the TIDAL and Qobuz outages that have been affecting Roon users recently.
At this time, the issue is caused by ongoing problems on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which are impacting the availability of these streaming services. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do on the Roon side until AWS resolves the underlying service issues.
Once AWS services are back to normal, everything should return to working as expected.
If anyone continues to experience problems after the outage is resolved, please update this thread with your details so we can assist further.
Thank you for your patience!

Describe the issue
trouble accessing albums on Tidal database through Roon
Describe your network setup
Archer MR600|Synology DS923+|ROONonNAS|Sonnet Hermes
I’ve restarted server and client. Problem is present on all Roon clients but all Tidal albums can be directly accessed through the Tidal app. The problem is present on Tidal albums already in my Roon library, as well as searching for new Tidal albums through Roon
I’m also having trouble connecting to Tidal on Roon.
I am having the same problem, cannot even login TIDAL from Roon, but no problems with using TIDAL app.
Hello @Michael_Block @Pazu_Huh @Anwar_Ali_Vali_Moham @Edvardsen @Jan_Willem
Thank you for reaching out.
At the moment, there’s a known TIDAL outage affecting multiple regions, related to an issue on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This can cause errors such as “unexpected error” or make TIDAL content temporarily unavailable in Roon.
You can follow the status here:
Once TIDAL services are back to normal, please:
- Go to Settings → Services → TIDAL → Log out, then
- Log back in and try again.
Regarding Qobuz, since it may be a separate issue, could you please share a couple of screenshots showing what exactly happens when you try to play from Qobuz in Roon? This will help us understand whether it’s connected or something else.
Thank you for your patience while TIDAL resolves their service outage!
I had no problems using Tidal through Roon during the outage, the problem only began a few hours ago after AWS services had resumed, hence my post
I am not sure if this current TIDAL issues are related to AWS outages. I uninstalled Roon (without deleting database) and after Roon reinstallation on the server running Windows 10, TIDAL works fine from Roon. Seems more like something get corrupted inside Roon.
Hello everyone,
It appears that the AWS service outage is still ongoing and may continue to affect certain regions. This can impact the availability of TIDAL and other streaming services within Roon.
Some users have reported that the issue persists with intermittent service disruptions as recently as a few hours ago.
You can continue to monitor the situation here:
AWS Service Status (Downdetector)
I’ve logged out of Tidal in Roon, then logged back in; it’s now functioning correctly within Roon
Same here. It’s working correctly here again after a logout, then logged back in.

In my situation I get the error when I try to load an album from Tidal and after seconds when I try again to load the same album - it loads with no problem.
Does my situation also becaus the aws problem?
