Tidal streaming issues on ARC with kids' iPhones displaying 'Poor Connection' (ref#ECWSUF)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· I have a ROCK at home with tailscale and our family connects thought ARC when remote away.
On my iphone everything works: remote access of home library, Tidal streaming through ARC, all fine.
My kids iphones however can only stream from my local content library. Tidal streams through ARC won't play and display 'Poor Connection'. A stream from a flac on my NAS works perfectly, Tidal not.
it also doens't matter if they are on 5G from, or at home on Wifi: same issue: local content from nas works perfectly in ARC, Tidal doesn't start and gives only 'poor connection'.
This behaviour is something which happened since a few weeks (I don't know the exact moment, because my phone works perfectly, and only the kids phones have this issue)
Allready tried to uninstall / reinstall / resynch the ARC on the kids phones, same issue.

· Fiber connection: 1Gb up & Down.
All omada switches and APs
ARC connects through Tailscale on the iphones - ARC connection works fine - it's only Tidal through ARC

Are the devices affected tied to your account? Please try to reproduce the issue and let us know the exact local time and date, along with the track it occurs on. We’ll enable diagnostics to check if there’s any specific errors. Also, can you confirm if there’s anything different about the kids iPhones? Do they have additional firewalls / limitations / etc?

hi @noris yes all devices are linked to my Roon account.
playing local flac files on my through ARC works perfect (also for the kids) It’s only remote content on Tidal that won’t work. In the past (up to December - January somewhere they were able to stream from tidal withouth problems)

we use an adgaurd dns on all mobile devices (but i use exclty the same settings on my iphone with no problems)

here are a few print screens from just now:
first track a DJ shadow track is on my local ROCK instance and plays perfectly

second track we’re from barcelona is a Tidal source, and play doesn’t start, spinning circle and then ‘poor connection’

this issue is consistent on both kids iphones: all local ROCK / NAS tracks stream perfectly on wifi and 5G, every tidal track doesn’t start.

i have tried:

• uninstalling ARC + reinstalling on the kids devices
• logging out and logging in ROON on the kids devices
• logging out and logging back into tidal on my roon

but issue remains

oh wow

by just typing my response I was also checking the adguard dns
apparently there’s a new section there which specific services, and tidal was blocked

unblocking the service fixed everything

should have checked the adguard more thoroughly
