This to me is the most annoying thing with Roon!! It feels so 90s. It takes me ten seconds to just adjust the volume via the app. Would be great if the app could stay alive!

The android app cannot be placed in the widget and does not remain active in the badge for a quick consultation … A little old-fashioned!

Set up Roon Extensions and use the Web Controller. It’s instant.
I made a PDF guide on my preferred way to do it (if you have a Raspberry Pi running DietPi, you can jump straight to step 11). Sucks that we have to use unofficial “hacks” to make Roon work properly on phones and tablets.

I’d like to have an easy option to buy music from Qobuz within the Roon app. With predefined settings where to store the files, which format etc. Could be great.

Check out the it’roXs extension - works really well as an always on Android notification widget and supports volume change using your phone’s buttons.
Totally agree that these features should be in the Roon mobile app, but this bridges the gap nicely for now (despite the daft name).
Where is it in Settings?

Ahh. Yes, I would also like fade-on-stop. As well as a short cross-fade (blend) when skipping to different points in a track or a short fade-in if you’re starting from any point other than the very beginning of a track. JRiver does both and it’s really nice for the sound to not be so jarring.

I’d like an option to mark unidentified albums if local tags are correct. For example an album can be unknown if a track is a few seconds different from the server result. So an extra icon would be perfect and with a single click to mark it.
Also a deeper integration with Tidal. What I mean with that. Now I have a few albums in to my collection. When I filter for OST I see only my library albums. Maybe a second row to show everything from Tidal without browsing through tags.

That’s probably because good metadata is hard to come by, and you’d need at least one metadata provider per language. This said, machine translation can be surprisingly tolerable, so maybe it’d be possible to get DeepL integration.
