I didn’t physically move either the Rock or the WiiM. I just ran ethernet from the equipment rack (where the rock, the router, the switch and the 19" RJ45 patch panels are) to a wall socket near where the WiiM is.
I can simply disconnect the ethernet cable from the back of the WiiM - at which point it should revert to WiFi. I’ll put it back on Roon radio and let it run. That should allow you to find the issue.
I’ll annotate here once I’ve done that.
I unplugged the ethernet cable from the WiiM - and it reverted to WiFi.
At 11:06 I started playing some tracks from a Rosalia album I have on the NVMe in the Rock - and I have “continue with Roon Radio” set for when those tracks end.
It’s been a week since we heard from you on this thread so we wanted to reach out to ask how these endpoints had performed in the meantime.
Have you experienced any dropouts? Please share the name of any tracks that skipped (or an approximate timestamp) if you’re able to recall the incident precisely.
We’re going to allow this thread to auto-close due to inactivity since it’s received no responses for a week. You can reactivate the conversation by simply submitting a new tech support request. Thanks!
