Describe the issue Hello, My digital album collection is on an 8 TB HDD. I'm going to transfer it to an 8TB SSD. How can I ensure that I don't lose all the data attached to Roon (favourite files/titles, etc.)? Should I simply copy the albums from the HDD to the SSD and then restore my last backup from Roon? Is it that simple? Thank you for your advice.

Any Roon metadata is in Roons Database NOT in the audio files
Roon does not change the audio files at all so a straightforward copy will be unchanged
Make sure you back up the Roon Database regularly Settings>Backup

In Roon, disable the HDD location, and shutdown Roon.
Copy the HDD to the SSD. Ideally preserve the file creation time – how you do this depends on the OS used.
Power on Roon, and add the SSD location.
Be patient while Roon rescans your library. All your Roon edits while be associated with the files on the SSD.

Thank You very much. This responds exactely to my question.
I run Roon on macOS 15 SEQUOIA. And I copy my Music files with CCC (Carbon copy cloner).
I have 4 separate folders on my HD (Classic, Jazz, etc). Than I desactivate the 4 folders in Roon?

That should work fine. I also have separate folders in Roon for classical, contemporary, blues etc., so disable each and recreate for the new drive.
