Trouble setting up Roon with Cambridge CXN100 for music streaming (ref#DKW3BY)

Full form submission

What’s happening?

I'm having trouble with my DAC, speakers, streamer, etc.

What best describes the issue with your audio device?

I see my device in Settings > Audio, but I can't enable it

I just bought a Cambridge CXN100 and I can't figure out how to get Roon to take over the streamer the music I have stored in the streamer.

There is no built-in storage in the CXN100, so what is your issue?

You mean attaching a thumb drive to the streamer and have it shared in the network so roon could see it as a path? This would require some kind of open SMB path or alike and I am not aware of a Cambridge streamer doing such thing on the network.

I’m struggling with this tech. and I’m not explaining this very well. I have music managed by magic stream using the CXN100 and I’m trying to get Roon to take over the management of the CXN100. I have set up the Roon server on my Mac computer and I have a digital connection between the CXN100 and the Mac but I can’t seem to connect the Roon to the CXN100.

The Cambridge CXN100 is Roon ready so how do I get Roon to work with the Cambridge?

Connect roon core and Cambridge to the same network, open Roon Remote and check the list of ´roon ready devices´ under settings > Audio. Once you have activated the CXN100 as a zone player, it shows up in the list of possible renderers in roon.

Hi @hdale.martini,
Thank you for being so patient while we worked through the queue. Were you able to resolve the issue with your streamer?

Yes! I did get it resolved! I just didn’t understand the basics since this is all new to me.

I did get my issue resolved! Thanks for your help!
