@AceRimmer,

Cool scratching post :+1:

I see Cinders is checking the water quality, I hope it’s to her liking :slight_smile:

Cinders is just fussy with water.
She will not drink standing water from a bowl.
She has her own little water fountain that has running water that starts from a sensor once anything gets within about 9" of it. Pretty cool really!

Scratching post is an Amazon purchase :sunglasses:

Somewhat majestic

At one stage we had a whole brood of Guinea Fowl, which we raised from eggs (very long story) , eventually we finished up with just one “Gooseberry” who was vaguely house trained.

We even moved house with him, he lived with the dogs , the 2 dogs and him shared a big bed, he was boss, he bullied the 45 kg Ridgeback for bed space !!

I, like many, avoid sharing too much on the internet, but this was Dexter.

Dexter was purchased as a pet from a show home, but we wound up showing him, and he became a Grand National Champion before age two.

He then retired and became a family member for greater than a dozen more years.

In recent years, Dexter became aged with all the attendant problems of aging. Conditions were many and worsening by the day.

We could have prolonged his life, and his discomfort, with heroic measures, but we know a bit about all of that and elected to give him peace.

Rest in Peace, Dexter. You were a great little boy and thoroughly enjoyed your life and brought great joy and wonderment to us all.
