In rural Catholic Austria and southern Germany in the past, they made you kneel on triangular wooden blocks. (Went on in certain schools at least until the 1960s)

Wow, a web site from the dark ages. I used to write sites as terrible looking as that when learning HTML in the late 90s. They usually only appear now on the Wayback Machine.
