Hi @Andrea_Lutri - recently bought the iN2 Merrick 1R off eBay. Good looking unit and hooking it up was a breeze, but I only can access Roon Rock. Do you use other services with it like Volumio or Audrivana?
Also, I bought extra 2TB SSD with the hope of expanding the storage but not only that I wasn’t able to find a compatible SSD slot, it doesn’t feel like it’s expandable at all.
Any thoughts on above will be super helpful.

Hi, Viktor, I’m sorry to hear about your issues with the Merrick.
Well, to be honest, I’ve never tried to link it up with different services nor do I think it can expanded at all.
All my digital files reside on a Synology NAS so the kind of job that the Merrick does is usually very “relaxing”.
I can remember the support service from the company, which is basically run by just one man -Robert- is excellent.
Try to get in touch with him, I’m sure he’ll be more than happy to help.

Thanks Andrea. I guess I will have to use it purely as Roon Rock, but I have a huge catalogue of music I ripped from my CDs over the years (now sitting on my two separate 2014 Mac minis) I would have loved to move to Merrick’s internal storage - just under 2TB.
Do you happen to have Robert’s contact? Merrick’s website seems to have gone offline.

Hi, Victor… Well, I’ve just checked and I could not find any traces of the Merrick website either.
I’m afraid it’s gone out of business.
Sorry also because I’ve lost Robert’s email and phone, but, to be honest, I got in touch with him a long time ago.
As for the Merrick, it’s just a computer with a dedicated operating system (Roon OS), so your hands are tied.
Maybe you could try to connect an external storage device by using a USB port.
The motherboard on the Merrick is what it is, you cannot turn a Dacia into a Ferrari. lol
