Roon nucleus + Apple library
Thank you for your post. You’ll need to export your Apple Music library as an XML file in order to import it into Roon.
The XML file needs to be generated via the Apple Music App → File → Export Library → Export ‘Library.xml’ file. Then copy/paste this .XML file into the main branch of your Roon library folder in storage.
Here’s an article with a little more detail:

Hi Connor - thank you for your assistance !
Your advice seems to assume that I use a Mac computer (or other PC) for my Apple Music
I fact I use an iPad and an iPhone to access my Apple library
How to a generate an exportable XML file on my iPad or iPhone?
Best regards, Ragnar
Good day @johannesen.ragnar !
Unfortunately, there is no legitimately known way to export an Apple music library from iPad or iPhone.
We, as Roon support might not give you much of an advises regarding Apple’s products because we are not managing them.
So the best way as of now would be to have an access to macOS with Apple Music.
You can either try to borrow someone’s MacBook for that purpose or try to use some VM with macOS for exporting playlist but we do recommend contacting apple prior doing so to check if that’s possible.
Have a nice day!
Regards.
Your reply here seem to indicate that you do not have any local files?
And you are aware that Roon and Apple Music is NOT integrated? I.e. you cannot use Roon to play back content from any other online music service other than TIDAL, Qobuz and KK Box, which are “integrated” in Roon.
This is an essential distinction. Roon is not integrated with the Apple Music streaming service at this time. Although we’d certainly like to partner with them, Apple Music has no content available through Roon.
If you use Apple Music (the app) to host and organize your local music library, then you can import that taxonomy into Roon directly via .XML. This is important for users who have long relied on Apple architecture for their music storage (like iTunes), and although it’s a niche case, it’s one we encounter frequently in these forums.
Unfortunately, if you’re hoping to integrate Apple Music streaming tracks into Roon, you’ll not be able to do so at this time.
