Hi, My dCS Network Bridge cannot be seen via its network address (for example 192.168.1.188) as was happened in the past and it works only via Airplay with lower rate and quality (green dot instead of purple). Thank you, Michael
Describe your network setup
modem router: Oxygen MultiGateway and D-link Switch, by the way my Naim Atom works ok (purple dot), recognized by its network address in the same network.
Thank you for the report. Diagnostics available to our servers list the dCS Bridge as an active Zone for your RoonServer instance under the listed IP address. Can you confirm whether this Zone is intermittently disappearing, or not visible at all under Settings → Audio?
Is the D-Link switch a managed/smart switch? What is the relative configuration of your RoonServer and the dCS bridge in question (please list all network hardware involved).
We’ve requested diagnostic logging from your RoonServer in the meantime that should further illuminate the issue. This report will automatically generate when your server is next online, and we’ll proceed from there. Thank you!
Hi,
thank you for the quick and analytic response.
Both the devices, dCS Network Server and Naim Atom are connected by the same way: wired via the D-Link DGS-1008D 8-port Unmanaged Switch to the modem router Oxygen multiGateway. As you can in the attached photos the Naim Atom works with lossless way (purple dot) while dCS via Airplay.
Also, in Settings-Audio screen some other Devices are shown, like “Filmage Audio Device, Filmage Aggregate Device etc. What are they and how can delete them?
thank you
My problem was solved by using the following procedure:
Start playing music, for example from Tidal, by using the computer (in my case an Apple MacBook Pro) hosting Roon Server. In this case dCS Network Bridge is recognised as a “Roon Ready” device.
Then, you can use the iPhone to change music tracks and do everything else.
