Describe the issue

I'm not able to put the devices I have like the HiFi Rose and Eversolo in the Audio option in Room. What's the problem?

Describe your network setup

My internet is all wired, the modem is from the operator itself and I use a sotm switch, that's all.

Make sure the devices are on the same IP subnet as the server and have some form of Roon bridge running or are Roon Ready or Roon tested?

Adding the actual model names of the Eversolo and Hifi Rose would help people to help you.

Eversolo DMP A8 and HiFi Rose RS 130, both Room Ready and Tested

OK, it seems that neither of these require a Roon setting to be enabled on the devices. (Some products need that).

Are other endpoints listed in Settings > Audio and can you play to those?

Some things to check:

Make sure that they are on the same subnet as the Roon Server, as @bearFNF wrote.

If you are using Apple devices, ensure that Roon is allowed:

Ensure that the various Roon processes are allowed on the firewall, if any, on the Roon Server:

No endpoint appears anymore, I use a Macbook Pro as the Roon Server. Everyone is on the same network. I use Jplay and Audirvana without any problems.

Did you try this?

Yes, I saw it. I appreciate the responses. Hopefully this problem will be resolved very soon.

I had done this before and without much success.

OK, so I guess this isn’t the first time this has happened. Also good to know. I guess you’ll have to wait for official support then. They can look at your Roon logs.

Hi @Denio_Maynard,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help with adding your audio devices to Roon. The best way to troubleshoot this is to take a look at your logs. Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!

I have a hifirose 130 and operates flawles in roon.
Dou you see the internet conection is on in de rose?

Yes, it is connected via the SFP connector

I ment on the rose screen you can see that there is an active internet connenction.

The 3 blocks

Hi @Denio_Maynard,

Checking in on this thread - can you confirm there is an active internet connection from the HiFi Rose?

If possible, can you simplify your network connection and get a direct Ethernet connection between your server and audio devices? Temporarily bypass any switches and then reboot your system.

Let me know if you’re able to connect after the above - thank you! :raising_hands:

Hi @Denio_Maynard,

In case you’re using a MacOS RoonServer machine - if you haven’t already, try going to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network and toggling it on for Roon. Try toggling it off/back on even if you’ve taken this step already.

Sequoia 15.x+ can interfere with Roon and RAATServer’s network visibility. The team has work in the pipeline to improve this, but the above step is the workaround for now.

Hopefully this helps. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay in responding, but yes, the connection is active.

I did this as described and everything worked fine. thanks

HI @Denio_Maynard,

That’s great news! Thanks for letting us know. I’ll mark this thread as solved for you. Enjoy your music!
