Unable to change/edit "Sample Rate Conversion"
Setting is locked to "For compatibility only"

Netgear switch, wifi hub, wired connection to roon server and too Wiim Ultra, SPDIF out to external DAC.

I also have a Wiim Ultra using Roon. Check your WiiM app on the “Audio Settings” menu…what is your SPDIF Output Resolution set to? It appears from the MUSE settings you have shown there, that something is upsampling your audio…my guess is it’s the ULTRA

Nope does not make sense, not the format outputted that I am getting from Roon, Roon plays it back at 24/96. Set format in wiim output is 24/192 (and supported by dac)

No filters/EQ or other nasties activated in the Wiim app.

Either way,I do not care if Roon is upsampling or not, I care why I can not chose from what to what as in the older versions (where you could set that 16bit 44KHz would be resampled to 24 192 for example.)

Please share a screenshot of the Device Setup for this Zone in Settings → Audio → . Is the maximum sample rate there restricted to 96KHz?

There is no option for resolution/Bitrate/freq. on the Wiim device.

Unlikely this but click on coax output resolution and check this is not set to fixed rate

Also might be worth try ressetting the device settings load defaults using the button on top right. This can reset it in Roon if it gets its knickers in a twist. Failing that maybe a factory reset of the Wiim as it’s not reporting back to Roon correctly.

It was not set to fixed, and I did reset to defaults in roon for the device.

Does nobody else have this issue or Roon team a Ultra to compare on?

Seems like a bug to me.

The next step here would be for us to examine your logs. Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?

Fixed itself after I reinstalled Roon on my server. Not sure why or what was the cause but after uninstalling and reinstalling I’m able to use the sample rate settings.

It clears the device cache on the server which is what checks for the hardware. Perhaps the device setup for the Wiim got corrupted somehow.
