Unable to connect Nucleus+ Rev B after power outage (ref#8E8AVF)

Describe the issue

Hello,

Following a power outage, I can no longer connect my Nucleus + Rev B as a Roon Server.
When I reconnected, Roon offered me to choose another Roon Server by disconnecting my license from the Nécléus +. which I did.
Maybe it was a mistake.
So I used a backup and I find myself
in the general tab with my PC as the server but when I click on Configuration the name of my server is Nucleus +.
And I can no longer connect to my dap that I had in the Audio section (Topping DX7 Pro).
Roon no longer offers me the choice of server and I can't connect to the Nucleus Web Administration Interface.
In short, I don't know how to go back to how the situation was before.
If you could help me.
Thank you very much.

I believe the Nucleus may have an issue booting.

Looking at its admin console for clues would be my next step.

  1. Connect the Nucleus to a monitor or TV via HDMI.
  2. Connect a USB keyboard to the Nucleus.
  3. Power on the Nucleus and let it attempt to boot.
  4. Take an image of the display and post it on here.

Merci.

Hello Carl and thank you for your reply.

When I connect a HDMI socket to the TV my NUC appears (under the name NUC Intel)
but the TV displays “No Signal”. I have tried two different HDMI sockets and I get the same message.

What’s more, my internet network no longer recognises the Nucléus.

One question: What use is the keyboard in this operation?

Thanks for your help.

Hi could you clarify please … as the first statement suggests the NUC’s HDMI display is active, but then you say there is no signal.

The keyboard is not needed for this initial test, but it may have been useful for next steps (like resting NUC network settings) but with no HDMI signal the keyboard is of no help.

Merci Carl de votre retour.

Je vous joins 2 captures d’écran
La première qui semble reconnaitre le Nucléus mais ensuite la 2è qui indique pas de signal

Thank you Carl for your feedback.

I’ve attached 2 screenshots
The first seems to recognise the Nucleus but then the 2nd shows no signal.

Ok

The first image is from the TV input selection menu.

The second “No Signal” image, presumably after you have selected that input indicators the Nucleus has a hardware failure.

The best next step here is to get in touch with Roon’s RMA department directly, as they’re in charge of all hardware-related Nucleus issues.

To do so, open the Typeform link below and select ‘Other’ followed by 'This issue is related to a physical component".

Typeform link : Nucleus Troubleshooting

I hope they help get you sorted out moving forward.
