Unable to connect to Last.fm (ref#NJM9JS)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

Since the last major update I am unable to link my Last.fm Account. Instead I receive the message below. This is happening on Windows Desktop & 2 Remote Android Devices. The user us unable to edit their login details as prompted

Thank you for your post. Logs show Last.fm’s servers returning a 404 when Roon Server attempts to connect with the store credential data.

First, make sure you haven’t inadvertently switched Profiles in Roon after signing in.

Next, restart RoonServer and double-check your account credentials directly on Last .fm
’s own account page.

This particular error popup in Roon can be misleading; it sounds like it’s prompting you to check your account credentials in Settings → Services → Last .fm within Roon.

We’ll escalate to the team to see if we can pin down a) why Roon might have stale credentials and b) if the UI can be improved.

Hello Connor, Thank you for getting back to me!

I created a new profile, and I was able to successfully log in to last.fm and link my account. This leads me to believe that on my original profile that I cannot log into last.fm with it’s possible that I entered incorrect details a while ago but there’s no facility for me to edit the details that I entered previously. It seems that the incorrect log in details are now baked into that profile.

That means that at this moment , the only option available to me would be to start a new profile , which would unfortunately mean that I would lose all of my history.

I need to have the ability to reset my Last.fm details associated with my original Roon Profile.

Have you checked your Last.fm “Applications” settings to be certain Roon is connected to it?

Any further thoughts? Third-Party Apps working fine and as stated above when I create a new profile I can link that no problems.

I need to be able to reset the Last.fm Login details associated with my main profile. There currently isnt the ability to Edit them.

We are working on adding additional diagnostics to see exactly what is failing with regard to the login, but the changes will only be present in our next production release. Thank you in advance for your patience as the team works on this.

Thank you for the update! Appreciate it. In the meantime I have created a new profile which has connected perfectly and allows me to interface with my Last.fm credentials. Not the best workaround as I am unable to build on my history on my previous profile but Third Party Apps that allow me to scrobble just dont feel as great as the seamless connection Roon creates which is another testament to how great your product is! Holding on in there for the update!

After the next Roon update, please try logging in with your old credentials and let us know how it goes and the exact timestamp.
