Unable to connect to Qobuz and Tidal streaming services (ref#UKC856)

Hello,
So, I went ahead and turned off The Comcast Xfinity Advanced Security. Then, I went back to the Nucleus+ as my Core. I am back to where I am- I can reach my library (which I reconnected to the Nucleus). But, now, again, I cannot connect to Tidal, Qobuz, nor LiveRadio. (Though I could with my Asus w/ Windows as the Core.)
Thanks for the help, as always, but I don’t know what to do next.
John

Hey @John_Kelly1,

Sorry to hear your issues with upstream services are still causing you trouble. We’re unable to see the Nucleus tied to your account, which means its also having issues connecting with our servers.

As a next step, could you please send a fresh set of Nucleus logs back over like you did a bit ago? You use the directions found here and send over a set of Roon Server logs from the Nucleus to our File Uploader.

We appreciate your time and patience here

Good Morning Benjamin,
Thank you for getting back to me.
No, I am not giving up. And I am glad for your help. I have uploaded the logs. This is from my MAC, running the Nucleus+ as the server keeps me from accessing Q/T/Live Radio. This happens whether Mac/Windows/Ipad using Nucleus. I can access the Web versions of Qobuz and Tidal. And, not to be redundant, Roon is completely functional when my ASUS is the Core.
Have a good day and thanks for the help,
The Logs have been sent
John

Hey @John_Kelly1,

It looks like you sent over a few logs from ‘Roon’ running on your Mac, not ‘Roon Server’ from your Nucleus. Could you give it another go and send over a set of Roon Server logs?

Thank you!

Benjamin,
I am hoping I sent the right files. Otherwise, I am going to the wrong place. I took the logs from my Mac library, under the Roonserver and Raatserver directories and the subdirectories “library.”
Let me know if this works. If not, where would I look?
Thanks,
John

Hi @John_Kelly1,

These are the steps to send over logs from your Mac, not your Nucleus. I’ll copy and paste the directions from the link I shared above:

Using a Mac, open Finder and navigate to smb://NUCLEUSPLUS/Data and use Guest as the username and password. You should then see the RoonServer folder. :+1:

Benjamin,
I think “third time is the charm.” I followed your tips and uploaded what, i really believe  are the logs.
I so hope this will prove to be the solution.
Thanks, as always, for the help,
John

Hey @John_Kelly1,

Thanks for sending those over! We were able to review your Nucleus logs, and did see some expected network errors - a failure in your Nucleus reaching Roons API and account servers allowing the typical authentication process to take place.

For example:

POST https://api.roonlabs.net/accounts5/accounts/3/login check network configuration: socketerr (NetworkUnreachable): Network is unreachable (172.67.14.113:443)

The question is why you’re only having these issue with your Nucleus, while you’re able to gain proper access using other devices within the same network.

If you review your router/network settings, can you check the network firewall to ensure it’s not blocking access to Roon Labs’ servers or ports (e.g., port 443 for HTTPS).

I would also check to make sure your settings allow outbound traffic to and from the Nucleus. From logs, we’re seeing a different IP potentially linked to the device : 10.0.0.100 it may be worth reviewing your subnets and ensuring devices aren’t jumping between IPs.

You could also try a ping test to the IP that isn’t reachable within Roon:

Network is unreachable (172.67.14.113:443)

Let us know your findings!

Hi Benjamin,
I spent over an hour on this. There are no other devices using the same IP. One major issue is using the Xfinity router, I can’t customize or check whether devices are going to different ips.
BUT, as this point, I have spent about a month on this. So, I just ordered another router. A Netgear AX6000. If you have any setup information for the Netgear and Roon, if you could link me to that, THANKS.
John

Hi @John_Kelly1,
We don’t have anything specific for setting up routers except for things like port forwarding for ARC. We do have a networking best practices article. If you have specific questions once your router arrives we can help with those!
