Unable to connect to Roon application on MacBook Air (ref#XY4TS0)

Is Roon Server running?

· No, Roon Server is not running.

For Roon connectivity to work properly, both Roon Server and Roon Remote need to be turned on.

· I can't turn on Roon Server, I need help.

Describe the issue

Clicking on ROON icon on my MacBook Air goes on to icon as its working to connect but nothing happens. It has been 2 days now. I tried logging out and logged back into my account but still no response from ROON to conect to player.

I am running ROON core on my MacBook Air. No problems for years until now. Whatever listening zone I choose ROON does not play. Play button does not react when pressed.

Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. Let’s start by refreshing your Roon database.

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup
    Let us know if you’re still having issues after this. If you have any computers that you can connect to your router via ethernet could you please test using that as your Roon server (just as a test to see if Wi-Fi is the issue here)?
