Describe the issue

Suddenly cannot connect to roon core over wifi. I tried with my Samsung S21FE, Xiaomi Pad6, Ipad 2018 model. Me desktop computer which is connected via ethernet has no issues

Describe your network setup

I use several extra network devices (switches and mesh wifi), but to rule these devices out I have connected the roon core directly into my router (KPN Box12) and connected my phone (Samsung S21FE Android 15) to the wifi of the same router. Issue still persist. My Windows 11 computer which is connected by ethernet does not have this issue.

Includes a workaround.

thanks for this link, happy i am not the only one with this issue.
But I cannot find a workaround for the android devices

Just want to mention I don’t have an issue with the Ipad. |I think I was confused by switching to different Roon cores.
I created a Roon container on my Synology NAS, and I didn’t have the issue here on my androud devices, but it felt very sluggish. Just a confirmation why I bought the dedicated NUC. Hopefully the issue will be solved soon.

Alternatively entering an IP-Address of 255.255.255.255 should do the trick too.

I spoke too soon, using 255.255.255.255 is working for now. Thanks for your help

Hi @Job_van_Dongen ,

Thanks for reaching out with your report and glad to hear that the workaround is at least providing temporary relief. It is certainly strange that just Android appears to be affected in this case. I assume the behavior is still the same if you perform a full reboot of your ROCK machine, correct? Have you ever set up Tailscale on the ROCK server?

No i have not setup tailscape.
PS: i have not lost connection to roon core since i used the 255.255.255.255 ip address.
