Thanks for writing in and sharing your report - it’s good to see you on the community again!
Sorry to hear about your connectivity issues! Based on your account admin, it looks like your Roon Server may be connecting to another subnet within your local network, which could be preventing it from being discoverable from your Roon remote.
If you bypass the extender and get a direct ethernet connection from your server to your router, does the same issue occur?
It may be good to reboot your router and see if that clears any issues up as well. Let us know the results!
Hello Benjamin,
Sorry for the delay, I have rebooted router and modem multiple times with the same result. I am using an ethernet connection from the server to the router. I do not understand what has happened. The setup has been stable for years and now all of a sudden it does not connect???
Please let us know if you see the server under the “Select a different Roon Server” as mentioned by @Geoff_Coupe
Based on the diagnostic data enabled on your account, it appears that the Roon Server was last active more than six days ago. We haven’t received any activity traces since then.

Could you kindly confirm whether the Roon Server is currently up and running? Here are a few ways you can check:
System Tray Icon (Windows): Look for the Roon icon near the clock in the bottom-right corner. If it’s running, the icon should be present.
Task Manager (Windows): Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager and look for RoonServer.exe under the Processes tab.
Some time has passed since we’ve heard from you on this thread. Taking a look at available diagnostics associated with your account, we also can’t confirm if you’ve successfully used your RoonServer recently (the machine seems to have been offline since your last post).
We’re very eager to assist here and fully resolve this issue for you. Please let us know if you’ve had a chance to review the suggestions posted above by our moderators and my colleague @vadim. We’ll look for your response and follow up from there. Thanks!
Take note that if this thread doesn’t receive a response, it will auto-close after a few days.
Hello and apologies, I have been offline due to travel. This issue is not resolved. When I click on the Roon app, it launches and the icon appears in the system tray. Task manager also shows that it is running however the server does not start. When clicking on the option to connect to a different Roon server, I selected “find my Roon server” and it just keeps looking, no result.
