What’s happening?

I'm having trouble connecting to Roon

I am running Roon server on a SonicTransporter i5 from Small Green Computer. I am unable to connect to it via Roon Remote on my iPhone. Network is up and running, I deleted and reinstalled Roon server on the SonicTransport but that hasn't helped.

Make sure the firmware on the sever is up-to-date:

Just a quick note here: if you don’t keep your Sonic Transporter software up to date, you may find that you have audio dropouts and files loading slowly leading to stopped playback. Note that the Dashboard on the web interface does not list minor updates. It is worth hitting the update button to make sure you have them. I did not have them - despite thinking the readout meant I was up to date. When I did this, and received all the minor updates, and re-booted a couple of times as well subsequent…

Thanks. I am running v2.8 of the sonic orbiter OS which is “current” but following your advice, hit the update button anyway. I rebooted a couple times after updating but still no luck - remote is unable to connect to the server. I did contact Andrew Gillis at SGC - he feels this is a Roon issue and not something he can assist with
