I’m running Roon Legacy 1.8 on a Windows 7 machine. I have the lifetime purchase.
I logged out of my account on the machine because a Tidal account I have stopped connecting yesterday, it seemed a logical way to begin troubleshooting, but now I’m unable to log back onto Roon. My core is recognized, my credentials are accepted and then, when trying to login, it times out. I then get a generic error asking if I’m online? I restored from a recent backup on logon screen but no difference. I presume something is corrupt, can anyone help?
I’ve changed DNS, disabled local AV, disabled Windows FW but still Roon logon doesn’t allow me to authenticate. My credentials are correct, I’m able to logon to my account online and the initial app GUI accepts my username & password. What’s going on?This is really stressful
It logs on finally after 36 hours of authentication timing out. Shame I wasted a lot of time messing with it including rebuilds from legacy installers, the first of which was corrupt, and finally restoring from backup. Tidal search functionality doesn’t work anymore on the legacy build so that pretty much renders the service useless nor is any hi-res audio available. I’ll look into changing my Core platform but it’s a faff
