Describe the issue

Honestly, I love your product when it's working BUT you lack of customer support is exasperating. I referred to forums, and while I'm reasonably capable I'm not a software geek and nor can I understand the deeper references so I'm at a loss as to how to solve any issues. So, my typical fix is to reboot my computer. Up until now this has fixed any issues from time to time. I'm now at a loss. Simply - it just says "nothings playing" on the bottom bar. I can no longer connect to my streamer (Streambox S2 Ultra) nor my computer speakers, etc. I rebooted several times. I even uninstalled Roon on my Mac and reinstalled, but no success. Please advise. Is there an instructional trouble shooting video somewhere? I'm ready to dump everything and go back to my vinyl.

Hey @wave3info,

Thanks for writing in and sharing your report - it’s good to see you on the community again!

Based on your admin, it looks like you’re running an older version of macOS - Mac OS X Ventura 13.1.0.

With this, can you please first test out reviewing your Mac firewall settings? If you temporarily disable your firewall, and reboot your Mac + Roon Server, are you able to see your devices?

Here’s more firewall info:

How is your Mac connected to your router, as well as your streamer / other devices? For the sake of troubleshooting, please set up a direct ethernet connection from your Mac to the router and to your devices, and see if your issues persist.

It may also be worth reviewing your router settings - devices list, to confirm all your devices are running on the same local subnet within your network. Roon cannot function across multiple subnets.

We’ll be on standby for your results and reply, thank you! :raised_hands:
